Neil Litchfield
Neil has been involved in Community Theatre and, as a Drama Teacher at Crestwood High School, with numerous productions for over 50 years both as a Director and Performer.
He also has been involved in Community Radio and, for a time, was the Theatre Editor for the Magazine LIVE ENTERTAINMENT and was a contributor to The Sydney Music Journal.
Neil joined up with David Spicer to buy the foremost Australian Theatrical Magazine STAGE WHISPERS in 2008 and as Editor has steered the publication from strength to strength.
Among the companies Neil has directed for are Woodstock Players, Ashfield Musical, Strathfield Light Opera, Bankstown Theatrical and Warringah Music Theatre and has appeared with companies as far afield as The Regals, Bankstown, Strathfield.
As a long-standing Committee member of the Association of Community Theatre Inc, Neil has been responsible, in conjunction with Martin Mitchell, for collating and maintaining the entries for our WHAT’S ON show listing for thirty years– a thankless job at the best of times!
Neil holds a Master’s Degree in Theatre Studies from the University of New South Wales and in his spare time (?) is still involved in marking Naplan and High School Exam Papers.
